bisou / kiss

foubisou is a (mostly) made-to-order knitwear brand marked by unique and one-of-a-kind pieces. Every item in my shop is handmade with love by me, Lily Foucault.

Derived from my last name & the french word for ‘crazy’, foubisou is inspired by all things beautiful, silly, & imperfect. Just like the song Zou Bisou Bisou, foubisou evokes a feeling of playfulness, nonchalance, and femininity.

As a self-taught crocheter and lifelong creative, I fell in love with knitwear - a blend of my two passions, fiber arts & fashion - and had a mission to reinvent the way we think about knits (I'm looking at you, granny squares).

After years of trial and error, learning, and honing in my aesthetic, foubisou was born - in all of its imperfect, DIY glory.

In an increasingly digitized and mechanized world, I am proud to use my two hands to slowly craft garments that can be worn for years to come and passed down for generations. 💖
